South River Elementary School serves the central section of Marshfield, Massachusetts and overlooks the beautiful South River and Marshfield Fairgrounds. We serve approximately 300 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The staff and faculty at South River School are dedicated to providing a challenging and rigorous curriculum for all of our students in a nurturing and safe environment. In addition to the cadre of excellent classroom teachers, South River offers specialist education in Art, Physical Education, Library, Music (vocal, strings, and band), Technology, Speech and Language development, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. We facilitate the growth of our students socially and emotionally, as well as academically. Our principal, Mrs. Emily Baird, is committed to working with our students, parents, and teachers to maintain our learning legacy.

There is active parent support of our school through the SRS PTO and SRS School Council as well as a very busy group of parent volunteers. Together we all create a wonderful environment for our children to learn and grow.
