Who are we?

Our mission is to support, encourage and enhance the educational and social environment of South River School by fostering involvement between teachers, administration and families. Our goal is to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for all to learn, socialize, communicate and grow.

We understand this year will look a little different in terms of not holding fundraising events for the time being, however, this is perhaps an even more critical time to donate. This year, as we navigate a new way of life at school, donations, targeted at $100 per family, will be used in many new and creative ways to keep learning fun and meaningful. Some ideas are: school-wide enrichment such as skype with authors, individual recess equipment, an expansion to classroom libraries, and the Reader’s Workshop program. Our fundraising program, BOOST, about which you received a flyer home this week, simply promises that 100% of your donation goes to student enrichment and activities - no asking aunts & uncles to purchase products for which the school gets little return. Checks made payable to SRS PTO – BOOST can be sent into the SRS office or mailed to SRS PTO, PO BOX 758, Marshfield MA 02050. Online donations can be made via PayPal here. 

What does it mean to be a member?

PTO members are able to vote at meetings when we have important decisions to make around funding requests or other decisions. We have 5 General Meetings per year (dates to be shared soon) that will be on Zoom for now. We have no membership fees- you join by simply sharing your email with us at southriverpto@gmail.com so we can send you information from time to time. We promise we don’t email often! We welcome suggestions & ideas always!

We look forward to meeting our new families & connecting with everyone in some way soon! There is no better time than now to appreciate our PTO logo designed by student Addison Brown 4 years ago (she is now a HS sophomore).
