When is “Meet and Greet”?
All families in grades K-5 are invited to visit school between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Monday, August 29th. This is a time to stop by your classroom and meet your teacher. The nurse, school psychologist, and additional staff members. Feel free to stop by the office to fill out a CORI form to volunteer this year at school if you did not last year.

What’s new at EWS?
As part of our ongoing Safety update the District has made the following changes at EWS.. The new entry hall window into the main office is operational and new safety doors and windows have been added to our lobby. We will also have a new visit pass system so please be ready to have your ID scanned each time you visit us.
These updates would not have been possible without the commitment of the Marshfield School Committee, the collaboration of MPD and town meeting funding. Thank you for helping to make EWS even safer.
In addition, EWS will be welcoming three Preschool classes which have been moved from MES. These are district-wide Integrated Preschool Programs housed at EWS. For information regarding these programs please contact the Early Childhood Office (located at DWS):

The District has rolled out a new website which will have an app for parents to put on their phones where youl will be notified of any school updates. More informaiton will be coming from our tech department. Please be patient with us as we roll out our new webiste, it has a different look and we are currently being trained on how to use it. Will visitors and volunteers be allowed into the building?
Visitors and volunteers will be allowed in school. All volunteers must make sure to have a current CORI on file (many of you updated them last year and are all set!). Please be ready to show your ID each time you come into the building.
How do I pick up and drop off my student (Grades K-5)?
All students can be dropped off at the side parking lot at the black door entrance to the Dining Room. Students will be greeted by EWS staff at 8:40am. Once the door closes at 8:50 students may be dropped off at the front Door/Main Entrance to the school. Students can be picked up at the same location for dismissal by driving past the school and entering in the far driveway leading behind the school and around to the black door off of the Dining Room.
How do I pick up and drop off my Preschool student?
All Preschool students in the AM sessions will be greeted by Preschool staff at the front door (Door #1) and walked down to class. AM Preschool students can be picked up at the same location for dismissal.. Preschool staff will assist with dismissal as well.
All Preschool students in the PM sessions will be greeted by Preschool staff at the front door (Door #1) and walked down to class. PM Preschool students will be picked up further down the school driveway at Door #2 for dismissal.. Preschool staff will assist with dismissal as well.
What is the cost of lunch this year?
There is no cost for lunch. It will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge. All students must bring a water bottle each day to school which can be refilled at our filtered water stations.
Do I need to buy school supplies to bring to school?
Each elementary school will be providing general supplies that students need in school.
Will my child have access to a Chromebook at school and at home?
We will be assigning a dedicated school Chromebook to each student to use in school.
Can I drop off forgotten items at school?
Yes, each school will have a table/bin at the main entrance to drop off items. Office staff will get items delivered to the students.

s there before school care and an afterschool program this year?
The schools do not operate their own programs, however, please check with the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club for the most current information on their Program offerings page.
