Dear MHS Students & Caregivers,
We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Robyn Gay-Jennings has been appointed as the new Assistant Principal at Marshfield High School. Ms. Gay-Jennings will replace former Assistant Principal, Ms. Kristin Reid, who resigned this summer to take a job closer to home. Ms. Jennings will begin her new role on Monday, August 19, and work primarily with grade 10 and 12 students.
Marshfield High School is committed to ensuring that our leadership team reflects the values and needs of our entire school community. To that end, we involved staff, student, and parent representatives in the hiring process for our new Assistant Principal. Their insights and feedback were invaluable in helping us select a candidate who embodies the collaborative spirit and dedication to excellence that defines MHS. We believe this inclusive approach has allowed us to make a decision that best serves our students, staff, and families.
Ms. Gay-Jennings has been a dedicated Spanish teacher at MHS for the past 19 years, during which time she has consistently demonstrated a proven ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents. Her commitment to our school community is evident through her various leadership roles, including serving as a Safe Schools Mediator, co-facilitating the Diversity, Equity, and Cultural Competency PLC, and co-facilitating professional development on Social Emotional Learning for our staff. Additionally, she has organized and led student trips to New York City, Costa Rica, and Burgos, Spain, and contributed her expertise to the MHS Scheduling Committee.
We are excited to have Ms. Gay-Jennings take on this new role, and we are confident that her experience and commitment will continue to positively impact our school community.
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Gay-Jennings on her new appointment!
